Asia Gold: Key festivals light up Indian demand

Mumbai-India (Nov 9)  Demand for physical gold gathered steam during a key festival week, shrugging off a recent downtrend going into the traditional busy wedding season, while other major Asian hubs saw limited activity.

By 08:00am EST spot gold price was down $2.00 to $1,217, while spot silver slid 8 cents to $14.31. However, spot palladium crashed $10 to $1,117 per oz.
