Gold ends lower in New York
New York (Apr 26) Gold futures finished lower Friday to tally a loss of more than 2% for the week as investors looked ahead to the Federal Reserve's policy meeting next week. June gold contract fell 1.6% to settle at US$1,175 an ounce.
Spot silver fell more than 3% during the week to close at $15.74, while platinum plunged $45 in week to clase at $1,125 and palladium tumbled $11 to $773.
Short-term it appears the trend for precious metals is downward.
