Gold price increases as silver price drops
Kathmandu-Nepal (Jun 14) Gold became dearer in the domestic market as its price rose by Rs 500 per tola. However, price of silver dropped by five rupees a tola over the week from June 7 to 12.
The market opened on Sunday with gold price fixed at Rs 51,400 per tola. Price of the precious yellow metal went up by Rs 200 a tola to Rs 51,600 per tola on Monday and remained unchanged on Tuesday.
Bullion price edged up by Rs 100 per tola on Wednesday and traded at Rs 51,700 a tola. Gold price again went up by Rs 200 per tola on Thursday and was fixed at Rs 51,900 a tola and remained the same on Friday.
Meanwhile, price of silver fell by five rupees a tola in the week and settled at Rs 700 a tola.
Market opened on Sunday with silver price at Rs 705 a tola and it traded at the same rate till Wednesday. Price of silver fell by five rupees a tola on Thursday to Rs 700 per tola and remained unchanged on Friday.
