Gold price loses some altitude as U.S. dollar rallies

New York (Nov 23)  Gold prices have lost about half of their overnight gains in late-morning action Friday. A strengthening U.S. dollar index that is at its daily high is working to pressure the precious metals markets. December gold was last up $2.10 an ounce at $1,465.80.
