MCX Comdex posts weekly fall of 2.8%
MUMBAI-INDIA (Sept 29) Commodity prices went down sharply last week in India. MCX Comdex has posted weekly falls of 2.82% to 4,064.78. This was due to 3.28% falls in MCX Metal and 3.12% dropped in MCX Energy.
Bullion contracts witnessed downtrend. Gold October 13 contract was down by 2.22% to Rs 29,865 per 10 grams. Silver December 13 contract was down by 6.01% to Rs 48,639 per kg.
Metals contracts showed down trend. Nickel September 13 contract was down by 4.51% to Rs 850.90 per kg, Copper November 13 contract was down by 1.54% to Rs 458.30 per kg, Aluminium October 13 contract was down by 1.46% to Rs 111.65 per kg.
Lead September 13 contract was down by 2.29% to Rs 128.20 per kg, Zinc October 13 contract was down by 1.31% to Rs 117 per kg.
Energy contracts showed downtrend. Natural gas October 13 contract was down by 6.47% to Rs 221.10 per MMBTU and Crude oil October 13 contract was down by 3.44% to Rs 6,402 per barrel.
