U.S. nonfarm jobs up 204,000 in Oct., jobless rate rises to 7.3%
Washington (Nov 8) The U.S. economy created a larger-than-expected 204,000 nonfarm jobs in October, while the unemployment rate rose to 7.3 percent from 7.2 percent in September, Labor Department data showed Friday.
Consequently, spot sliver slips 29 cents to $21.41 and the U.S. dollar index rises 0.52% to 81.26.
U.S. stocks are steady with Dow Index up 24 points.
