Silver up 2% on global cues

Mumbai-India (Apr 10)  At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in May gained Rs 929, or 2.18% to Rs 43,604 per kg in business turnover of 11,089 lots.

Similarly, the white metal for delivery in July moved up by Rs 892, or 2.05% to Rs 44,353 per kg in 519 lots.

Analysts said speculators created fresh positions in tandem with higher global trend, pushing silver prices higher at futures trade.

Meanwhile, rose by 0.6% to 19.99 dollar an ounce in Singapore.
