Andy Schectman: Frantic Silver Demand Lightened Last Week

After a frantic month and a half of order flow in the retail silver market, the conditions at the bullion dealers receded somewhat over the past week.

The spark in demand had been triggered by the failure of Silicon Valley Bank, which left investors and savers concerned about the fragility of the banking system. Although after a period of calm following the depositor bailout, Andy Schectman of Miles Franklin reports that the surge in demand has come in over the past week.
