Silver futures edge up to Rs 38,821 per kg

Mumbai-India (Mar 6)  Silver prices edged higher by 0.09 per cent to Rs 38,821 per kg at the futures trade today as speculators created fresh positions.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in far-month July rose Rs 33 or 0.09 per cent to Rs 38,821 per kg in a business turnover of 31 lots. Similarly, the white metal for delivery in May was trading higher by Rs 28 or 0.07 per cent at Rs 38,254 per kg in 1,024 lots.

Traders attributed the rise in silver prices at the futures trade to building up of fresh positions by traders.
