Silver futures fall to Rs. 35,971 per kg
New Delhi-India (Sept 28) Silver prices fell 0.28 per cent to Rs. 35,971 per kg at the futures trade today as speculators trimmed their exposure amid a weak trend in global market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in December traded lower by Rs. 101 or 0.28 per cent to Rs. 35,971 per kg in a business turnover of 159 lots.
Similarly, the metal for delivery in far-month March declined by Rs. 102 or 0.28 per cent to Rs. 36,695 per kg in a business volume of three lots.
In the international market, silver fell 0.2 per cent to $15.08 an ounce in Singapore.
Analysts attributed the fall in silver in futures trade to a weak trajectory in global markets after the US Federal Reserve chief Janet Yellen said the American central bank is on track to raise interest rates this year.
