Silver, platinum and palladium all rose in Friday trading

New York (Feb 14)  Silver rose 2.8 per cent to $17.28 an ounce. Platinum gained 0.7 per cent at $1,202.45 an ounce, while palladium was up 2 per cent at $787.47 an ounce.
