Silver plummets more than 3.3% as gold drops over $30/oz

NEW YORK (Sept 12)  Precious metals began plunging in Asia in the early morning. And by 10:00 am (New York), spot silver was already down 3.3% to $22.27, while gold fell $30 to $1,331.   Likewise, precious metals equities are also suffering material damage.  Some experts opine this may be the beginning of the final washout before the bottom is finally in.
